This is horrible and is crazy to me. A friend here told me about it earlier today and I’m just flabbergasted. Her country’s percentage is 30, as yours is.

It’s hard enough to make money here, this doesn’t help. Obviously in the US we have to pay taxes on what we make and it’s a ridiculous amount when you’re ‘self employed’, but we can take deductions, etc when we file taxes. I would be livid if someone just took it right out, unless I was getting something for it. i.e. social security, insurance, etc.
