OMG. I loathe when they do this. It happened a few times when my home was the in-call location. The rules were exactly the same as yours.
When I first started with that escort agency, the owner at the time used his home as in-call. There was a CVS a block away where we asked clients to pull in, call and let us know they were there, then head to the house and come right to the door.
Hardly anyone EVER followed protocol. And always said they thought WE were shady for asking them to.

When he arrived, instead of immediately calling me, he walked around the perimeter of my house. He told me after that he did this for his safety. He wanted to scope out the property. But in doing this, he put my business in jeopardy.
