I love this. So often, we see the downside in sex work, it’s nice to read a piece that’s so different.

I had mostly excellent experiences, personally. There were a few duds, but that’s going to be true with anything.

Here in the states, if I’m not mistaken, sex work is only decriminalized in Nevada. (Okay, I looked it up and that’s correct). In certain counties, prostitution is legal, in the form of working for a brothel. Street walking is still illegal. It’s also illegal to benefit from the proceeds of a prostitute (as in you can’t be a pimp or madam). I guess that doesn’t apply to the brothel owners.

Interestingly, the county where Las Vegas is, it’s still illegal to run or work in a brothel.

Prostitution laws are held at the state level here, the federal government has no say. Therefore, it would have to be made illegal at each state level. I don’t see that happening.
